Spooky Cute Spider and Ghost Halloween Tag – Spellbinders Craftoween Day 5

Today’s tag features the dies from the Day 5 envelope of the Spellbinders 13 Days of Craftoween 2025 Advent Calendar. Well, Day 5 and Day 4 because I couldn’t resist using the ghost and the pumpkin again. The spider in this set is so cute with all the little eyes. It’s actually three layers to create that look which I love. You can use it that way or make your own eyes. I’m still using my Essential Arches dies from Spellbinders for the tag shape because I just love them.

I die cut all my pieces from scrap pieces of cardstock. I’m really using a lot of my scraps on these dies which is an amazing feeling to see that start dwindling down. I’m also making a dent in my patterned paper so I’m feeling really accomplished. My background is from the Happy Halloween paper pack from Carta Bella which is no longer available. I also cut another arch of the same size from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb cardstock to give the tag some stability. I just glued my patterned paper piece on top of that with liquid glue.

After assembling my die cuts, I placed those onto my tag using liquid glue. I popped my spider up on foam tape. Before I adhered him down, I realized I need a spider web for him so I grabbed my Halloween Wonder die set from Spellbinders and cut the little corner web from some light gray cardstock. It’s subtle but really filled in that space in the bottom right.

My sentiment is from the stamp set included with the 13 Days of Craftoween box. I used an acrylic block to stamp onto a scrap piece of cardstock and then fussy cut that out with scissors. You could also just trim the sentiment with a paper trimmer but I wanted uneven edges. I popped that up with a few Gina K foam adhesive squares.

To punch a hole in my tag for my ribbon, I used my Crop-A-Dile Eyelet and Snap Punch. I used the 3/16″ hole punch and then attached a silver eyelet. That ensures that my tag doesn’t rip when I feed my ribbon through and tie it off. I picked 5 ribbon strands from my stash that closely matched the colors on my tag. I fed those through my eyelet and then tied them off in a knot.

That’s my Day 5 tag! So cute! I hope you’re inspired to make more tags and especially if you were lucky to snag one of the 13 Days of Craftoween Advent calendars. I’ve had so much fun creating.
