Create an Elegant Card Set! – Pinkfresh Peony Perfection Washi Tape

Who loves giving cards as gifts? I do! That’s exactly what I’m doing with the card sets I made from the Pinkfresh Studio Peony Perfection Washi Tape. There was quite a bit of prep work that went into these cards and that’s honestly what took the most time. Once I had all my pieces, they came together in a snap.

To prepare, I placed my washi (both colors) onto a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock. I made a couple panels and then cut them out using the coordinating dies. In the end, I had a pile of die cuts. Then I used my Spellbinders BetterPress machine and the Decorative Frames Press Plate to create some frames using Concord & 9th Pebble ink. Then, using the same press plate and my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Machine, to foil some frames with gold hot foil. While my Glimmer machine was out, I decided to foil some sentiments as well with the same gold foil. I used the Here For You Sentiments press plate and coordinating dies to create a pile of sentiments to use on my cards. Knowing I was planning to stack up some frames for dimenson, I cut some additional frames using the Decorative Frames die and Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock. I ended up with about 8 of each frame just in the white cardstock. Doing all this prep work made putting these cards together so easy!

Next I set out to make my cards. I pulled in some additional products as I went which are listed below to end up with four different card designs. I changed up the color on some of my card bases to make the designs really pop. These cards look so elegant and detailed but they were so easy to make. It just takes a little time to get your elements prepped. It’s a good time to catch up on your favorite YouTube creators or your favorite shows.

For the insides, I used some of the frames I prepped to add some detail along with some of the die cut washi flowers. It’s just a small nod to the design on the front of the card and makes the card feel finished, especially is you’re going to be making them into a card set to give someone.

To package these up, I used some A2 card boxes I purchased from Amazon (link is an affiliate link). Four cards along with the envelopes fit perfectly into these boxes. If your cards have less dimension than mine, you could fit more. I goofed and didn’t photograph the envelopes but you can see those in my process video linked below. I used my Misti Stamping Tool to stamp the envelope flaps with the Peony Perfection stamp to add some decorative detail. If you’re gifting a card set, you should include the envelopes with the cards and try to do a little something extra on those like stamping the flaps. Once I packaged those up, I added some ribbon in a coordinating color and then glued another washi flower to the front to coordinate with the cards inside.

Now I have two card sets to give as gifts and enough prepped elements to throw together a few more. I can’t stress enough how important the prep work is! It really pays off in the end.
