Clean and Simple Holiday Card – Altenew Festive Triangles

Hi friends! This is my last holiday card of 2025 and I chose the Altenew Festive Triangles bundle. I’m only using the press plates but I’ve had this set for a bit and wanted to play with it.

Today I’m using the press plates to foil the patterns on some of the triangles. I used my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine and silver foil with some Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock. Then I used the Nesting Triangles dies to cut those out along with some triangles that had no foiling.

I took my color inspiration from Pinterest. I just searched ‘modern tree art’ and saw a pin using teals and shades of red so I grabbed some similar colors in my Altenew Fresh Dye inks. The colors I used are listed below. I ink blended each triangle as shown in the photos and then placed them onto a 5×7 card base using a combination of liquid glue for the triangles in the back and foam tape to give the triangles on the front some dimension. My sentiment is from the press plate set as well using the same silver foil as the triangles. I trimmed that down with my paper trimmer and used liquid glue and foam tape to place that over the triangle arrangement.

My embellishments are the Pocket Change Confetti from Trinity Stamps. These are on last-chance over there so grab them while you can! Do you notice the random embellishment up at the top of the card that looks out of place? It’s not glued down but apparently fell onto my card as I was dropping them around for photos and then just stuck to the card somehow. So….that little rebel isn’t on the final card but made it’s debut for the photos. I can’t believe I didn’t notice that.

I kept a couple of the inked triangles for the inside of my card and used one the smaller sentiments I had already foiled. I used some silver foil paper to mat that sentiment and then glued it down to the inside along with the triangles which I placed in the bottom right. Then my card was officially done! You can check out my process video below if you’d like to see how this all came together. Thanks for stopping by today! Now go get crafty.
