Quick Floral Card – Cosmos Bunch Pinkfresh Studio
Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing a simple floral card I made using the Pinkfresh Studio Cosmos bunch stamp set, die and stencils. This is such a quick card to make because of the coordinating stencils. I’m not great at coloring yet so any time I can use stencils, I’m in. You can use any floral set with coordinating stencils to create a similar card. You just need a focal image that fills up your card well and Pinkfresh Studio has lots to choose from.

I stamped the floral image and the sentiment using Versafine Onyx black ink on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock. Then I let the ink dry for a couple minutes. That’s an important step because it doesn’t dry right away like a typical dye ink so you can accidentally smear your image if you aren’t careful. After my stamping was dry, using the stencils, I ink blended each layer using Concord and 9th inks. I used Dragonfruit for the large flowers and Blueberry for the small blue flowers. The leaves were blended using Grasshopper for the lighter portion and Artichoke for the dark. For the centers of the blue flowers on one of the images, I used Solar Paste from Simon Hurley in Golden Hour. That will be my focal image for the card front. You need to let that paste layer dry before doing anything else. I would recommend die cutting your floral image before you do that step. Otherwise, you could flatten that solar paste a bit when you run it through your die cutting machine. This set had coordinating dies for both the floral image and the sentiment.

For the card base, I used a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock measuring 8 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/2 inches. I adhered the floral image using foam squares from Gina K Designs in the 1/4 inch size. My embellishments are the Crystal Blue Satin Bauble mix from Trinity Stamps.

Now, before I called it good, I had to dress up the inside. I used the same Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock cut to 5 inches by 3 3/4 inches. Then I stamped the same floral image just in the bottom right corner and used the stencils to color in the same color combo as the front. I did not use the solar paste on this piece because it was on the inside. I just made the flower centers a darker blue. Then I stamped the sentiment using my Misti Stamping Tool and adhered the panel to the inside of my card base using Art Glitter Glue.
It is so quick and easy to whip up a simple floral card when you have coordinating stencils! I hope you’ll give it a try if you haven’t already. I appreciate you stopping by today. Now go get creative!
