Inspired by Art – A Floral Easter Card

Today I’m sharing an Easter card made with an assortment of dies from Spellbinders. I went to Pinterest for some inspiration which is what I often when I want to make something but don’t feel particularly inspired design wise. I found this cute little bunny surrounded by flowers which actually turned out to be a Diamond Art Kit.

I tried to match the colors in the photo with my Altenew Fresh Dye Inks. The colors I chose are listed below.

For my flowers, I used a number of die sets Spring Haul, Sunny Stems and Little Blooms. I cut an oval to anchor all my die cuts from the Stylish Ovals die set. That set is currently retired by there are other oval die sets that would work just as well.

I ink blended all my floral die cuts as well as my bunny which came from the Bundled Bunny die set from Simon Says Stamp. The background oval fell a little flat against the black A2 card base so I took some Pure Graphite ink and added some shading to the outside. That added just enough contrast. All the floral pieces were adhered directly down to background using liquid glue. The bunny was popped up on foam tape.

For the inside of my card, I cut another oval from white cardstock. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine ink from the Ears to Spring stamp set. To add some additional interest, I used a leftover floral die cut and adhered that with liquid glue. It doesn’t add too much additional dimension so the card still closes with no issue.
