If you’ve followed me recently, this card might look a little familiar. Last week I made a shaker card using the Wide Leaf Shaker die set from Pretty Pink Posh and a muted color scheme. The large leaf of today’s card is a leftover piece from that project. So let’s put it to use! This month I’m a guest designer for Pretty Pink Posh for their September 2026 Fall release. All the products in this release are great and so fun to create with!

First I took my plaid leaf that I cut from my background of my last project. I wanted to grunge up the edges a bit so I grabbed my brown ink blending brush and just blended around all the edges with whatever brown was leftover on my brush. Then I used the smaller leftover leaf from the same project which was cut from Pebble cardstock. Using my same brown blending bush, I ink blended with Deep Spice Fresh Dye ink from Altenew onto on side of the leaf. Then I used Cloudy Sky on the other side until I was happy with the look.

Next I used the Fall Holder Additions die set to cut four leaves and an acorn from Pebble cardstock. I ink blended those using Evening Gray, Deep Spice and Cloudy Sky inks. I’ll use a couple leaves on the front of the card and then the rest I’ll use on the inside. I like to cut extra die cuts while I’m making the effort to have for the insides of my cards.

My A2 card base is Pebble cardstock. Then I cut a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock from Stampin’ Up (Cocoa from Concord & 9th is a close alternate) to 5 1/4 by 4 inches. Then another piece of In the Navy Cardstock from Gina K Designs to 5 by 3 3/4 inches. To create a highlight around my leaves, I took the piece of navy cardstock, placed my leaves down to understand their placement and then used Jet Black Fresh Dye ink to create a shadow around the edges. Then I adhered my solid leaf down with liquid glue and then the plaid leaf with Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

Using the Turkey Friends stamp set and coordinating dies, I stamped ‘many thanks’ with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto a piece of scrap white carstock and then die cut. To knock back the white, I ink blended around the edges with Evening Gray. I adhered two smaller leaves behind my sentiment with liquid glue and then popped up my sentiment with foam squares.

To add some extra detail, I adhered some Espresso Confetti embellishments from Pretty Pink Posh around my sentiment and larger leaves. They don’t add a lot of shine or bling but it’s a subtle detail that I think really finished off the card. Then I added a Chocolate Chip panel to the inside of the card cut to the same dimensions as the front and another panel of white cardstock cut to the same dimension as the navy panel on the front. I adhered my remaining die cuts from the Fall Holder Additions die set using liquid glue and that finished off my card!

I hope you liked this card and if you want to see the first card I made with this plaid background and color scheme, you can find that here.
