Dress Up Your Gift with This Fun Fall Shaker Gift Tag – Pretty Pink Posh Acorn Shaker

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a cute shaker gift tag perfect for the fall season. I love making gift tags. It’s just a fun way to dress up a gift and make it feel extra special. I’m using the Acorn Shaker die from Pretty Pink Posh as well as other products from their September 2026 release. It’s so cute on it’s own or as a shaker. I am a guest designer this month so Pretty Pink Posh sent me these products to play around with and they are so fun!

I started with my plaid background. To make this, I used the Windowpane Plaid stencil and an A2 panel of Chiffon cardstock from Spellbinders. Using a blending brush, I stenciled my background with Dusty Pink, Raspberry Sunset and Hazelnut Fresh Dye inks from Altenew. Then I cut a circle from that panel using the Pinking Circles Dies. That will be the base of my tag. Using the same circle die, I cut from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb cardstock. I’ll use that piece to adhere to the back for some extra stability and a place to write if you choose. I also used the same plaid panel and pinking circle die to cut a piece to line the back of my tag which you’ll see in the photo at the end of this post.

Next I cut my Acorn Shaker pieces. I cut the large acorn backer once and then the frame seven times from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb cardstock. I could have just cut it once and then used foam to create my shaker window but I was afraid the foam would poke out from behind the frame since it’s so thin. Then I ink blended the layers using Vanilla Cream, Hazelnut, and Mocha Fresh Dye ink. I also cut a piece of acetate using the large solid acorn to use as my window. Using liquid glue, I assembled my shaker element and added Blush Harvest Shaker Beads, Pearl Prism Confetti Mix and 6mm Marshmallow sequins. The sequins are no longer available but you could use Marshmallow Confetti Mix as an alternative. Then I adhered to my tag base.

To add a little extra interest, I die cut a mushroom and some leaves from the Fall Holder Additions Dies. I ink blended those with Raspberry Sunset, Hazelnut, Mocha, and Almond Butter. I added those to the top of my shaker along with a sentiment from the Upright Greetings: Fall Stamp Set. This was perfect because the sentiments are tag on their own. I punched a small hole in the sentiment strip and then used a glue dot to adhere my sentiment to the acorn with a bow. I also punched a hole in my tag using my Crop-a-Dile Eyelet and Snap Punch so I could add some assorted matching ribbons from my stash. I embellished with a few more of pieces Pearl Prism Confetti Mix.

As I said earlier, I used the same plaid background to cut the bottom piece for my tag using the Pinking Circles Dies. Then I added some additional decoration with the second acorn and another leaf from the Fall Holder Additions Dies. I ink blended those the same as the ones on the front.
