Mass Producing Cards with Turnabout Stamps - Concord & 9th Lovely Blossoms -

Sometimes I just want to make a set of cards and sometimes that means making them all exactly the same. That’s what I tend to do when I’m feeling a little stuck. Somehow the repetition is comforting to me. The Turnabout Stamps from Concord & 9th are perfect for mass producing beautiful backgrounds so that’s exactly what I grabbed. I chose the Lovely Blossoms set.

Using a Turnabout stamp seems intimidating but it’s actually quite easy if you follow the steps. Then you can just crank out backgrounds like it’s your job. You could make backgrounds with different colors or make them all the same like I did here. I used Concord & 9th inks in the colors listed below.

After my backgrounds were done, I used the Lovely Blossoms die set to cut the hexagon from each. I saved those pieces for another project. Then I used Nectar, Tidepool and Watermelon cardstock to cut the sentiments and additional die cuts. I also used Tidepool to cut the hexagon frame detail.

For my A2 card base, I used In the Navy from Gina K Designs and added some gold splatter using Tsukineko Vegas Gold Ink. I also added splatter to my backgrounds in a diagonal pattern.

To create some dimension on my sentiment, I used three layers of the Nectar cardstock. Then I used liquid glue to assemble each card. I added some gold sequins for a little extra sparkle.

The inside of my card was very simple. I didn’t stamp a sentiment because I wanted to be able to use the card for any occasion. Instead, I used the hexagon frame that was left from cutting out the center of each background. Then I cut additional flowers and hearts from Tidepool and Watermelon cardstocks to add to the bottom right.
