Sheetload of Cards June 2024 – Make It Your Own

Hi everyone! I had a lot of fun putting together these cards using the June 2024 Sheetload of Cards tutorial by Alicia with Call Me Crafty Al. I have tons of patterned paper and her Sheetload projects are a great way to use up your stash. You can create multiple cards which is perfect for increasing your own stock or to give as gifts.

I pulled my patterned paper from a Park Lane collection I purchased at Joann. It’s called Woodland and I’ve had it on hand for a while. It’s no longer available which should tell you how long that actually is. Sometimes I buy things for the dopamine hit without a real plan to use it. That’s why I love Alicia’s Sheetload of Cards because I can pull out some of these beautiful paper packs I’ve been hoarding and put them to good use. I chose two patterns that paired well together and then chose some solid pieces that matched the color scheme. You can create variety in your card set or just make them all the same, which is what I did here.

The beautiful thing about the tutorial is you can use the base template to get started and then make it your own. I used the Spellbinders Club Blooms die set to cut some florals and leaves to surround my sentiment. Having a couple floral die sets on hand is a great way to easily step up your cards. Cut a few elements to place behind your sentiment and BAM! You’ve just elevated your card design. For the sentiment, I used a press plate and die from the Delighted for You collection from Pinkfresh Studio. A final touch of Espresso Grounds metallic confetti embellishments from Trinity Stamps completed the card.

I like to dress up the inside of my cards as well to make it feel finished. It can be something as simple as a strip of the patterned paper you used on the card front and a stamped sentiment for the inside. That’s exactly what I did here. The inside sentiment is also from the Delighted for You collection.

A look inside the finished card to show a sentiment saying "It's the little things that make big difference". The bottom of the card is finished with a strip of patterned paper of the same style as the card front.

Now I have a set of eight cards to keep and use or give away. I think I’ll package these up with a cute bow and give them to a friend of mine. She loves a good nature theme. I hope you feel inspired to create your own set of cards using supplies you already have in your stash. Make sure you go check out Crafty Al over on YouTube if you’d like to get access to the tutorial I used for this set. Thanks for stopping by today. Now go get creative!
