Creepy Coffin Halloween Tag – Spellbinders Craftoween Day 13
It’s the final reveal for the Spellbinders 13 Days of Craftoween 2025 Advent Calendar. This was such a fun kit to play with and I hope we have another one next year. The Day 13 envelope features a spooky little open coffin. It even has a hand that you position to look like something is crawling out to get you. Love it!
I started with my Spellbinders Essential Arches die set to cut my tag base. I used the 7th largest die in the set to cut an arch from patterned paper and one from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb cardstock. Then, using liquid glue, I adhered the patterned paper to the white cardstock to create a more sturdy tag base. I punched a hole in the top center of my tag using my Crop-a-Dile Eyelet Punch and then adhered a white eyelet.

I die cut all my elements from cardstock scraps in various colors. I wanted the florals to be bright against the darker spiderweb background and black coffin. I used my Little Blooms die set along with one greenery die cut from Club Blooms both from Spellbinders. I assembled the florals and my coffin then arranged them on my tag base to ensure I liked the placement. Then I adhered those down with liquid glue. My largest flower is popped up on a foam square to allow me to place the other floral elements around it. I originally ink blended by coffin but it ended up looking too much like the background for my liking so I changed it to a black piece of cardstock.

For my embellishments, I used some silver rhinestones I’ve had on hand but I linked a similar product below from Spellbinders. I placed a few of those around the coffin on my tag until I was happy with the placement. These are adhesive backed rhinestones so no need for liquid glue. My sentiment is from the stamp set included with the Craftoween box. I just used an acrylic block to stamp that onto a white cardstock scrap using Versafine Onyx Black ink. Then I dried that with a heat tool to ensure the ink didn’t smear and fussy cut that out with scissors. You could always just trim the sentiment with your paper trimmer if you hate to fussy cut.
My ribbon is an assortment I’ve collected over the years. It’s a mix of Stampin’ Up and a bundle of Halloween ribbon I got from Michael’s a few years ago. I fed all the strands except for one through the eyelet and then tied them all off with the black spider web ribbon. That’s it for this tag! Pretty quick and easy.
